Mill Street Mercantile

This amazing building was built pre 1900 and moved at least once. (Some would argue that it moved twice!) It was, at one time, a doctor’s office and pharmacy. In my lifetime, I remember it as a bakery, an insurance office and my store. I was lucky enough to be the first to renovate the upper level of this piece of history. When I purchased the building, the back half and entire upstairs was gutted to the studs. No electricity, no heat or insulation and no stairs on the bottom half of the gap between the floors. When I first climbed up to the second floor, I felt that familiar rush that happens when I get an idea that’s going to keep me up at night, planning with excitement!

I will be posting the before photos as my website progresses.

Mill Street Mercantile is now Mill Street Cafe, serving delicious home cooked meals.
